Cheer Overview

The SFPAL 49ers Sideline Cheer Program is about more than just learning cheers and dances—it’s about building confidence, teamwork, commitment, and lasting friendships. Cheerleaders develop fundamental cheerleading skills while learning the importance of supporting one another, showing dedication, and representing their team with pride. SFPAL 49ers is associated with Bay Area Pop Warner Youth Football and Cheer League and Pop Warner Nationals.

As a sideline cheer team, athletes learn how to energize the crowd and create an exciting game-day atmosphere while cheering on the SFPAL 49ers football teams throughout the season.

The program is coached by Charlize, a longtime former cheerleader who is passionate about helping young athletes grow both on and off the field. Through positive encouragement, skill development, and team-building experiences, cheerleaders gain valuable life skills while having fun and being part of a supportive team community.

Joining the cheerleading team is available for girls and boys ages 7-13. Registration begins in February, but the season does not officially start until August.

The first day of practice for the 2026 Season is Tuesday, August 4, 2026. Practices will occur on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:30PM-7:30PM.

Our cheer program is free to join.

Space is limited and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. All required forms must be submitted to be considered fully registered. Please submit the following items with your registration:

• Copy of the child’s birth certificate
• Copy of child’s complete report card (not required for 2026 season)
• Uniform Deposit paid via PayPal
